Diesel / Fleet Mechanic (Part Time)

Part time$30 – $45 per hour

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair. You will be working on our oil trucks, service vans and construction equipment, handling basic repairs and working out what is actually wrong when nobody yet knows.

Paid hourly.

Schedule: Part time and flexible. We care that the fleet is ready, not that you are here 9 to 5. We build a schedule around your availability and what the fleet needs.

Location: Bristol, PA 19007, serving customers across Bucks and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

What you will do

Diagnose and repair diesel engine and chassis issues, and know when to farm one out
Work across oil trucks, service vans and construction equipment
Preventive maintenance: brakes, tires, air systems, lights, batteries, DEF and aftertreatment
Perform and document DOT annual inspections and keep the maintenance files clean
Service delivery equipment: meters, registers, pumps, hoses, reels and emergency shutoffs
Get trucks back on the road fast in heating season. A truck down in January is a real problem
Winter readiness: fuel gelling, block heaters, batteries, tires

What you need

Proven diesel or medium/heavy-duty truck experience
Own hand tools
Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record. You will road-test what you fix
Able to pass a background check and a drug screen
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet and under trucks. Heavier parts are moved with a jack, hoist or a second set of hands, not carried

Nice to have

DOT-qualified annual inspector (49 CFR 396.19) and brake inspector (396.25). Say so, it matters to us
CDL, even without endorsements, so you can move trucks
Air brake, hydraulic or welding experience
Experience with fuel meters, registers or tank trucks specifically

This is a part-time position and does not include benefits. Our full-time roles do. We would rather you knew that now than find out on the phone.
