Fuel Oil Delivery Driver (Full Time)
Home heating oil delivery. Previous experience is preferred but not required.
You will be making residential home heating oil deliveries, and seasonally delivering marine off-road diesel to the shore points.
What you will need to have already:
- A valid Class B CDL
- Tanker (N) and Hazmat (H) endorsements. The combined X endorsement covers both
- No air brake restriction on your licence (no L restriction)
- A current DOT medical card
These are federal requirements for anyone behind the wheel of our trucks, so they are not something we can provide for you.
Schedule: Full time, year round, with overtime. Heating season runs long days and includes a weekend and on-call rotation. The marine diesel work falls in the warmer months, which is what keeps this a twelve-month job rather than a seasonal one.
Location: Bristol, PA 19007, serving customers across Bucks and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
What you will do
- Run a daily home heating oil delivery route
- Deliver marine off-road diesel to the shore points seasonally
- Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log them
- Meter, deliver and reconcile fuel; take payment and complete tickets accurately
- Handle deliveries in real winter conditions: driveways, snow, tight streets, older properties
- Spot and report tank, fill-pipe and vent problems so we can get a technician out before it becomes a no-heat call
- Keep the truck clean, fueled and safe, and write up anything that is not right
What you need
- 21 or older. The shore runs cross into New Jersey, which makes this interstate commerce
- Clean motor vehicle record. We pull it
- Registered and clear in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and take part in DOT random testing
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, pull and reposition delivery hose across driveways and yards, climb in and out of the truck repeatedly, and work outdoors in winter, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Comfortable working directly with customers at their homes
Nice to have
- Prior fuel oil, propane or tanker experience
- Familiarity with Bucks and Montgomery County roads
- Basic oil-burner knowledge
- An existing TWIC
What comes with every full-time position
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- Medical, dental and vision insurance
- Disability insurance
- Life insurance
- Retirement with company match
- Employee discounts
- Tool program
- Uniforms provided
- Paid training and certifications
Before you apply
Every position here requires a pre-employment drug screen, a motor vehicle record check and a background check. We run these because we put people in our customers’ homes and in trucks on residential streets. If something on your record concerns you, apply anyway and tell us about it. We would rather hear it from you first.
