HVAC Technician

Full time$28 – $45 per hour

The HVAC Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing heating, cooling, and fuel oil systems in customers’ homes and light commercial settings. A strong preference is given to candidates with experience working with oil-fired systems. This role is field-based and requires delivering excellent customer service, safe operations, and technical expertise.

Pay is $28 – $45 per hour based on experience, with a sign-on bonus based on your performance and additional earning opportunity on top of that. The bonus and how it works are discussed on the first call.

Schedule: Full time, year round. Patriot runs 24/7 emergency service, so the seat includes a share of the on-call rotation.

Location: Bristol, PA 19007, serving customers across Bucks and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

What you will do

Diagnose, repair, maintain and service heating, cooling and fuel oil systems
Work in customers’ homes and light commercial buildings
Find the root cause rather than the easy fix, and price the repair before you start it
Photograph the work before and after, and leave the paperwork complete
Keep your van stocked and clean so the job gets done on the first visit

What you need

HVAC service experience
Your own hand tools and some HVAC-specific tools. We supply some, but you are expected to bring your own
Comfortable in customers’ homes. You are often the only person they meet
Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
Able to pass a background check and a drug screen

Nice to have

Experience on oil-fired equipment, a strong preference here
EPA 608 certification
NATE certification
Familiarity with Bucks and Montgomery County housing stock
